I rescued a hawk today!

This is so completely random, but I found a hawk while I was at work today! I had to run some errands and my boss told me to take the golf cart. When I pulled out I saw him under the cart! I was so scared and sad! The poor birds back legs weren't working or something and he kept trying to slide himself around with his wings. 

I didn't know what to do so I called my boss to left him know what happened and then I called University Police so that I could get Animal Control to come out. It took them more than thirty minutes to get to where I was, but a representative finally arrived and the lady told me she would help take care of him. 

The poor bird was really scared, but with some coaxing (she let me help her!) we got him to calm down. She told me she was taking him to a local shelter and when I called to check on him they informed me that they couldn't do any more for him and that they decided to take him to a bird rescue a couple of miles away. He was in pretty bad shape, but I was really rooting for him to pull through! I'll let you know if I hear anything else!
